Our mission transcends traditional service delivery, focusing on creating sustainable solutions that address the root causes of community health disparities. We are seeking a Director of Development who will strategically advance our organizational objectives through exceptional fundraising leadership.
About the Role
The Chief Development Officer will serve as a critical strategic partner in advancing the organization's financial sustainability and mission-driven impact. This role requires a creative and strategic approach to philanthropic engagement and organizational development.
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Developing comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational objectives

Cultivating and maintaining relationships with institutional and individual donors

Implementing robust donor engagement and stewardship programs

Leading the development team with strategic vision and professional expertise

Representing the organization's mission to key stakeholders and potential funding partners
Core Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and execute multi-channel fundraising strategies

Establish and maintain comprehensive donor relationship management protocols

Create and implement annual and long-term fundraising campaigns

Provide strategic leadership to the development team

Generate detailed financial and impact reports for executive leadership

Represent the organization at professional and community events

Identify and cultivate potential major donor prospects
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit development, with demonstrated success in managing donor programs of 500+ donors
Extensive experience in developing strategic fundraising approaches
Proven track record in developing communication strategies across digital and traditional platforms
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing professional teams
Advanced proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, with preferred experience in Bloomerang

Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain complex stakeholder relationships
Strategic problem-solving capabilities

Physical Requirements
Ability to perform standard office functions
Capacity to work in a sedentary environment
Proficient in computer use and detailed documentation
Capable of occasional travel and event attendance
Compensation and Benefits

Full-Time, Salaried Exempt Position

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with experience)
